UK golf events: private transfers

Golf championships fill hotels, close roads and wreck taxi availability. The people who travel well treat transport as part of the ticket: a private chauffeur, space for clubs, and a driver who already knows the drop point. Venture Highland runs that work from Inverness across Scotland, and takes the same bookings for Wentworth, Kent, Wales and Ireland.

The next 18 months are led by the Alfred Dunhill Links in October 2026, then the East Coast fortnight in July 2027: the Genesis Scottish Open at The Renaissance Club followed immediately by The Open at St Andrews. Those two weeks are the ones to lock in now.

Confirmed dates are from the R&A and DP World Tour. Rows marked typical use the usual month and venue; we will lock those in when the Tour publishes them. The window runs from September 2026 through February 2028.

What we actually do on championship week

• Airport collections from Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee, Inverness, Aberdeen, Heathrow and Shannon, with space for clubs.
• Hotel to course each morning, dropped at the spectator, hospitality or players' gate, not at the public car park queue.
• Multi-venue days on Dunhill week: Old Course, Carnoustie and Kingsbarns in one car.
• A dedicated vehicle for The Open 2027 and the Ryder Cup, on standby rather than hoping for a taxi at close of play.
• Pre- and post-event golf: Royal Dornoch, Castle Stuart, the East Coast and Ayrshire.

Tickets, hospitality and green fees are arranged separately. Any hotels or third-party bookings we make on your behalf carry the standard concierge booking fee. Championship-week transport is quoted on the itinerary. Course-by-course golf transfers sit alongside this calendar year-round.

How it works

• Send dates, passenger count, hotel and whether you need a daily drop or a vehicle for the week.
• We confirm the car (V-Class for groups and clubs, saloon for pairs), the chauffeur and the timing around gates and flights.
• On the day: meet and greet at the airport or hotel, drop at the right entrance, wait or return as agreed.

Which UK golf events are you covering over the next 18 months?

The live calendar runs from September 2026 through early 2028. Confirmed weeks include the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth (15–20 September 2026), the Alfred Dunhill Links (1–4 October 2026), the Genesis Scottish Open (7–11 July 2027), The Open at St Andrews (11–18 July 2027), the Senior Open at Royal Porthcawl (22–25 July 2027), the AIG Women's Open at Royal St George's (28 July – 1 August 2027), and the Ryder Cup at Adare Manor (13–19 September 2027).

Do you only cover events in Scotland?

Scotland is home base and the strongest product: Dunhill Links, the Scottish Open and The Open 2027. We also take private transfer bookings for Wentworth, Kent, Wales and the Irish championships. You deal with Venture Highland throughout.

What does a golf event transfer actually include?

A private Mercedes (V-Class for groups with clubs, saloon for pairs), a professional chauffeur, airport or hotel collection, and runs timed to gates, hospitality and flights. Fuel, parking and chilled water are included. Tickets, hospitality and green fees are separate.

How far in advance should we book for The Open 2027?

As soon as you have tickets or a hospitality table. St Andrews in Open week is the tightest chauffeur diary we run. July 2027 vehicles are being allocated now.

Can you move a group with several golf bags?

Yes. Tell us passenger count and bag count. A V-Class handles a typical fourball plus luggage. Larger groups get a second vehicle so nobody sits with a driver and a pile of staff bags.

Do you wait at the course or only do point-to-point?

Either. Hospitality guests usually keep the chauffeur for the day. Spectator groups often prefer a morning drop and a set collection after the last group, which we stand off and return for.
