Two Irish championships sit in this window, both served from Shannon. The Amgen Irish Open is at Doonbeg from 10–13 September 2026. The Ryder Cup is at Adare Manor from 13–19 September 2027. Doonbeg is on the Clare coast, about an hour from Shannon Airport on the N18 and N68. Adare Manor is 25 minutes from Shannon, south-west of Limerick. The Irish Open is imminent. Ryder Cup week should be booked as soon as hospitality or tickets are in hand; 2019 at Le Golf National and 2023 at Marco Simone showed how fast ground transport disappears.

- Daily hotel-to-course transfers at Doonbeg or Adare, timed to gates and hospitality.

- Sunday or Monday airport returns after the closing ceremony.

Local knowledge
- West Clare roads to Doonbeg are single carriageway. Agricultural traffic and visitor coaches both use the N68. Leave earlier than the map suggests.
- Adare village is small. Ryder Cup week will close it. Stay in Adare if you can; otherwise Limerick or a Shannon-side hotel with a private car is more reliable than hoping to park at the Manor.
- Shannon handles most transatlantic arrivals for both events. We meet in the terminal, not at a bus stop.
- If you are playing as well as watching, Doonbeg, Lahinch and Tralee sit on the same Clare/Kerry coast. Adare guests often add a round at one of the Shannon-side clubs before the Cup starts.
