About the course
The Ailsa Course was extensively redesigned by Martin Ebert in 2016 and now features a spectacular new par-3 that plays across a rocky cove to a green perched on a clifftop — one of the most photographed holes in golf. The course stretches past 7,200 yards from the championship tees and combines clifftop drama with classic links strategy. The views are constant and breathtaking: Ailsa Craig sits offshore like a sentinel, Arran fills the western horizon, and on a clear day you can see the Irish coast.

The drive from Glasgow
Glasgow to Turnberry takes approximately 90 minutes via the M77 through Ayrshire, with the final stretch along the coast road through Maybole and Kirkoswald. Edinburgh is around two hours via the M8 and M77. The approach to the resort is dramatic — the iconic lighthouse and hotel appear on the cliffs ahead. Your driver will deliver you directly to the resort entrance with clubs and luggage handled throughout.
