A group of golfers from Texas wanted to combine championship Highland courses with whisky, scenic driving and the occasional country house hotel or local pub lunch. We put together a bespoke itinerary with private chauffeur transport, so they could enjoy every round and every tasting without worrying about driving on the left or navigating single-track roads.
Championship golf transfers
We handled golf transfers to their chosen courses – including Royal Dornoch, Castle Stuart and Nairn – with clubs and luggage taken care of. Pick-up and drop-off were timed around tee times and post-round plans. The chauffeur knew the routes and could suggest the best order of play to minimise drive times and make the most of each day.
Whisky stops and lunch
On non-golf or half days, we wove in Speyside distillery visits and lunch at a country house hotel or local pub. With a dedicated driver, everyone could take part in tastings and enjoy a relaxed meal without one person staying sober behind the wheel. The mix of golf, whisky and Highland scenery gave them a full Scottish experience rather than golf alone.
Chauffeur-led Highland driving
The driving itself became part of the trip: dramatic glens, coastal stretches and quiet roads that coaches don’t use. The chauffeur shared local context and adjusted the route for weather and interest, so even transfer days felt like touring rather than just getting from A to B.
This kind of trip fits our bespoke golf itineraries from Inverness: we coordinate courses, accommodation, whisky stops and transport in one seamless plan. If you’re considering a Highland golf trip, get in touch and we’ll tailor a programme to your group and dates.
