Nairn occupies a narrow strip of links land between the town and the Moray Firth, with the sea visible from most holes and the mountains of Easter Ross across the water. The front nine runs along the coast with open, exposed holes; the back nine turns inland through gorse and heather with more sheltered, technical golf.

The drive from Inverness
Nairn is 25 minutes east of Inverness along the A96, a straightforward coast road that follows the Moray Firth. After your round, Castle Stuart is 20 minutes back toward Inverness, and Royal Dornoch is an hour further north — Nairn sits perfectly in the middle of the Highland golf triangle.
