We provide private chauffeur transfers from Inverness Airport to Skibo Castle — The Carnegie Club at Skibo Castle, near Dornoch. Membership estate with golf, falconry, and exclusive stays.
The drive from Inverness Airport typically takes about 1 hour 15 minutes, depending on traffic and routing. We offer meet and greet at arrivals, flight tracking, luggage handling, and discreet coordination for guests, PAs, and estate teams.
The route from Inverness Airport to Skibo Castle
From Inverness Airport we head north on the A9 across the Kessock Bridge and along the Cromarty Firth. This is a good dual carriageway for much of the stretch through the Black Isle, passing Dingwall and Alness before reaching the Dornoch Firth crossing. After the Dornoch Firth Bridge, we leave the A9 and take the road towards Dornoch and Skibo.
The final approach to Skibo Castle is along a private estate road through mature woodland. The gatehouse is staffed, and the estate prefers advance notification of all arrivals. In normal traffic the full journey takes about 1 hour 15 minutes, almost all of it on the A9 with the last section on quiet estate roads.
About Skibo Castle
Skibo Castle is home to the Carnegie Club, a private members' club established in the former residence of Andrew Carnegie. The estate offers golf on its own links course, falconry, clay shooting, fishing, and spa facilities. Accommodation is in the castle itself and in estate lodges. Membership is required for stays, and the estate operates with a high degree of privacy and discretion. Dornoch, with its cathedral and Royal Dornoch Golf Club, is just minutes away.

Local tips from our drivers
The Skibo gatehouse expects advance notice of all arrivals, including chauffeur vehicles. We coordinate directly with the estate office to ensure smooth access. The A9 north of Inverness is being upgraded in sections, so occasional roadworks can add 10 to 15 minutes. We monitor these daily and adjust departure times accordingly. Royal Dornoch Golf Club is a five-minute drive from Skibo, and we frequently transfer guests between the two. Dornoch itself is a pleasant small town with good cafes and the Carnegie Courthouse hotel.
