We provide private chauffeur transfers from Inverness Airport to Glen Affric Estate — Private Highland estate with luxury lodge accommodation, ancient Caledonian forest, and lochside setting.
The drive from Inverness Airport typically takes about 1 hour, depending on traffic and routing. We offer meet and greet at arrivals, flight tracking, luggage handling, and discreet coordination for guests, PAs, and estate teams.
The route from Inverness Airport to Glen Affric Estate
From Inverness Airport we head south-west on the A862 through Dochgarroch and along the Caledonian Canal before joining the A82 at Drumnadrochit. The Loch Ness shoreline is on your left for much of this stretch, and Urquhart Castle comes into view briefly before the road climbs away from the loch. At Drumnadrochit we turn west, following signs for Cannich on the A831. This is a good single-carriageway road through Strathglass, passing through the village of Cannich after roughly 40 minutes.
Beyond Cannich the road becomes the Glen Affric road, a single-track with passing places that winds through native Caledonian pine forest. The last 10 miles are slower going but the scenery is worth every minute. We follow the glen road past Dog Falls car park and along Loch Beinn a Mheadhoin before arriving at the estate. In good conditions, the full journey from the airport takes about an hour.
About Glen Affric Estate
Glen Affric Estate sits within one of Scotland's finest remaining Caledonian pine forests, surrounded by native birch, Scots pine, and lochs that have barely changed in centuries. The estate offers exclusive-use lodge accommodation with a genuine sense of remoteness, despite being only an hour from Inverness. Fishing, stalking, and walking are all on the doorstep, and the Dog Falls and Plodda Falls trails are among the best short walks in the Highlands.

Local tips from our drivers
Mobile signal drops out after Cannich, so confirm all arrival details with the estate before you leave the airport. The glen road narrows significantly after Dog Falls car park, and in autumn the birch and Scots pine colours along this stretch are some of the best in Scotland. If you are arriving in winter, be aware that the glen road can be icy and gritting is less frequent than main routes. We carry the right tyres for these conditions year-round.

Frequently asked questions
- Can I stop at Loch Ness on the way?
- Yes. The route passes through Drumnadrochit, and a 15-minute photo stop at the Urquhart Castle viewpoint works well without adding much time to the journey.
- Is there mobile signal at Glen Affric Estate?
- Very limited. Signal typically drops out after Cannich. We recommend confirming gate codes and arrival arrangements with the estate before leaving Inverness Airport.
- What if my flight is delayed?
- We track all inbound flights in real time. If your flight is late, we adjust accordingly and will be waiting when you land. There is no extra charge for standard delays.
- Can you arrange a return transfer or multi-day service?
- Absolutely. Many Glen Affric guests book a return transfer for their departure, and we can also provide transport during your stay for day trips to Inverness, Skye, or elsewhere.
