We provide private chauffeur transfers from Inverness Airport to Aldourie Castle — Exclusive-use castle on Loch Ness. Gardens, cottages, and private hire for groups and events.
The drive from Inverness Airport typically takes about 30 minutes, depending on traffic and routing. We offer meet and greet at arrivals, flight tracking, luggage handling, and discreet coordination for guests, PAs, and estate teams.
The route from Inverness Airport to Aldourie Castle
From Inverness Airport we head south on the A82 towards Loch Ness, passing through the village of Dochgarroch. Shortly after the road meets the northern tip of Loch Ness, we turn off onto the B862, the quieter eastern shore road. Aldourie Castle is accessed via a private drive on the left, set back from the road with the castle grounds running down to the loch shore.
The entire journey is about 30 minutes in normal conditions, making Aldourie one of the closest exclusive-use properties to Inverness Airport. The B862 is a good single-carriageway road with light traffic, and the approach through the castle grounds is along a well-maintained private drive.
About Aldourie Castle
Aldourie Castle is the only habitable castle on the shores of Loch Ness, available for exclusive private hire. The property sleeps up to 30 guests across the main castle and its estate cottages, with formal gardens, a walled garden, and direct loch frontage. It is a popular choice for family celebrations, corporate retreats, and weddings, with the castle and grounds entirely private during each booking.

Local tips from our drivers
The private drive entrance is not prominently signed from the B862. We know the exact turning and will coordinate with the estate team on arrival arrangements. If guests are arriving in separate vehicles or on different flights, we can stage pickups and run a shuttle service between the airport and the castle. The B862 continues south along the quieter eastern side of Loch Ness and is worth exploring during a stay, particularly the Falls of Foyers, about 30 minutes further south.
